A grade are 95% perfect with very faint faults, if any faults at all

B grades are 80% perfect, with hairline splits, bark inclusions, and knots; it is still very usable timber.

C grade are 60% perfect deeper splits, bigger inclusions and more defects, more suited to resin projects
