Book Matched Spalted Beech Dining Table On Tapered Oak Legs
A gorgeous, richly grained book-matched spalted beech dining table on tapered oak legs.
A very visual table made from durable hardwood timber with great color and beautiful and artistic patterns created by spalting fungi, with clear resin in places.
DIMENSIONS.
2200 long x 835 wide x 735 to the top surface of the table (mm).
LEGS.
The legs and base are all made from solid English oak and have had the same Osmo hard wax oil finish as the top.
FINISH.
The top has had 2 coats of Osmo hard wax oil, which is a very hard-wearing and spill-proof finishing oil that requires very little maintenance whilegiving it a smooth and tactile finish.
PROVENANCE.
This beech was around 150 years old and grew near Southwold in Suffolk. Unfortunately, it got to such a size that, as with a lot of beech trees, it started to become weakened by age and started to drop limbs, so the decision was taken to fell it for safety reasons.
